When an issue occurs, check the console for an error message, and try Googling it first… It’s likely that other people may have come across the same issue! This can be done pretty easily whether you are grabbing a map that you found online or if you have created your own map. As this world is default and pretty bland, you may want to add your own custom map to your GMod server. Again, I have no idea how to do this, so I need some help.When first joining a GMod server, you are spawned into the default map Flatgrass. To be more specific about the details, I downloaded a prop for Sephiroth's Masamune awhile ago, and, obviously, want to make that into just a simple swinging sword. I figure since I already have the model for it, all I really need to do is some coding, but I have no idea what it is, where to put it, etc. So basically, here's my dilema: I have a prop that I want to make into a melee weapon.
I found a bunch of things for creating your own weapon, but they were all guns, not melee (and I'm not THAT dumb to realize that there's a difference.) But alas, there is NOTHING I found after days of searching through Google, and a bunch of other GMod-type websites for help, I found no tutorial or anything of the sorts.
